Projects selected for Discovery Awards are poised to arrive at important discoveries or creative works and spark new, synergistic interactions between investigators across the institution while leading to work of the highest quality and impact.<\/p>\n<p>Below are the projects with which Prof. Igusa is involved:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Harnessing Big Data and Machine Learning to Develop Tools for Autism Risk Prediction and Intervention <\/strong>\u2013 Xiaobin Wang (Public Health), Nilanjan Chatterjee (Public Health), Christopher Chute (Medicine), Margaret Daniele Fallin (Public Health), Tina Cheng (Public Health) &amp; Tak Igusa (Engineering)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Averting an Autonomous Vehicle Winter <\/strong>\u2013 Johnathon Ehsani (Public Health), Tak Igusa (Engineering), Tamas Budavari (Engineering), Jon Vernick (Public Health) &amp; Lingxin Hao (Arts &amp; Sciences)<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, 30 Discovery Awards were given to interdisciplinary faculty teams across eight Johns Hopkins divisions.
