\nBio:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>Marc A. Suchard, M.D, PhD is a Professor in the Departments of Biostatistics, Biomathematics and Human Genetics at the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Research Investigator with the US Department of Veterans Affairs. Dr. Suchard is a leading Bayesian statistician who focuses on high-performance statistical computing through massive parallelization and inference of stochastic processes in genomics and for massive datasets in healthcare. \u00a0His training in both medicine and applied probability help to bridge the gap of understanding between statistical theory and clinical practicality.<\/span><\/p>\n
