Gregory Eyink<\/a>, a professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics, was selected by the\u00a0American Physical Society (APS)\u00a0<\/span>as one of the 2023’s\u00a0153 Outstanding Referees, recognizing his exceptional work in the assessment of manuscripts published in the Physical Review<\/i><\/a> journals.<\/span><\/p>\n

Established in 2008,\u00a0<\/span>the Outstanding Referee program annually recognizes approximately 150 of the currently active referees for their invaluable work.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Each year a small percentage of 82,000 active referees\u00a0are selected and honored with the Outstanding Referee designation. Selections are made based on the number, quality, and timeliness of referee\u00a0reports as collected in a database over the past 45 years.
