William Cook is a professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics. His research focuses on operations research, combinatorial optimization, and the traveling salesman problem. He earned his doctorate (1983) at the University of Waterloo; his master’s (1980) at Stanford University; and his bachelor’s (1979) at Rutgers University.
