About eDisclose

External activities of academic staff which may lead to conflict of interest or conflict of commitment are reported through the tool, eDisclose, due to Federal regulations which went into effect in August 2012.

Conflict of Interest occurs when Academic Staff are in a position to advance their own interests, or that of their family or others, to the detriment of students, colleagues, funding agencies, or the University. A Conflict of Commitment arises when the external activities of Academic Staff are so demanding of time or attention that they interfere with the individual’s responsibilities to the University. Whether actual or perceived, such conflicts raise questions about the integrity and ethics of the individual and of WSE, the University, and academic staff.
