To help achieve a high standard of safe laboratory practice, appropriate safety training is required for everyone working in MCP laboratories. Completion of this safety training regimen, including the annual review, is required for all researchers who use the MCP.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Please ensure you have logged into JHU Canvas<\/a> with your JHED login to ensure your account is active.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

Please email<\/span>\u00a0mcpadmin@jh.edu<\/u>\u00a0to be given access to the DMSE\/MCP Lab Safety Training on Canvas.\u00a0The instructions to complete this mandatory safety training are available for download on this website. Please complete the Canvas quizzes and attend a lab walkthrough of the MCP labs with\u00a0your designated lab manager.<\/div>\n

Once the required forms and safety walkthrough are completed and signed, email them to\u00a0mcpadmin@jh.edu<\/u>\u00a0or bring them to the drop off box by Amy Johnson’s desk right at the entrance of MCP. Then you will be able to receive access to the laboratories or to schedule additional equipment training.<\/div>\n

You should also receive a lab safety walkthrough for any lab you will use often from the safety representative of that lab. You can contact your PI to organize this.\u00a0Failure to complete required training in a timely manner, or a failure to adhere to established safety policies and procedures, will result in revocation of laboratory privileges.<\/div>\n
