What is the MSRS?
The Johns Hopkins Materials Science Research Symposium (MSRS) is a one day symposium that is organized by graduate students in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. Our objective is to showcase the materials research taking place in a variety of disciplines at Johns Hopkins. Several senior graduate students and post-docs will present their research to representatives from industry, national laboratories, and the Hopkins community. Mr. Gregory Babe , President and CEO of Bayer MaterialScience, and Head of the NAFTA Region for Bayer MaterialScience, will deliver a keynote address on the current state of research in materials science and what the future holds for the field.
We invite all those interested to attend the symposium. In addition to broadening the horizons of both participants and attendees, the symposium will be a forum to foster future collaboration and introduce the brightest materials scientists to future employers. Representatives from the following departments will be presenting their work: Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Biophysics, Chemistry, and Earth and Planetary Sciences.
