Effects of Microstructure on Constitutive Behavior of Nickel-Base Superalloys

Constitutive models used in design and life prediction of aircraft engine hardware are empirical. We describe an experimental and analytical research project, conducted in collaboration with Pratt and Whitney, which seeks to introduce microstructural parameters into the actual design codes.
