Jun Ding, a former Ph.D. student in Dr. Evan Ma’s research lab, has received an Acta Student Award. He received the award for his contribution to the manuscript “Full icosahedra dominate local order in Cu64Zr34 metallic glass and supercooled liquid.” The Acta Student Award is given to students who made a primary contribution to work reported in Acta Materialia or Scripta Materialia, and whose work demonstrates exceptional value to the materials community.
Jun Ding is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Materials Sciences Division of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
