Morgan State University Fellowships
Two multi-year awards for Morgan State University graduates. Fellows receive a full tuition waiver and health insurance benefits. Awards will be limited to three semesters for master’s candidates and five years for doctoral candidates. Preference will be given to candidates who are U.S. Citizens or U.S. Permanent Residents.
Northrop Grumman Fellowships
Two one-year awards. Fellows receive health insurance benefits, a full tuition waiver, a competitive stipend and an opportunity to serve a paid internship (not mandatory) at Northrop Grumman during th summer. Fellowships are open to incoming master's candidates in all departments. A recipient's research interest must be similar to one of Northrop Grumman's research areas (i.e. electro-optics, photonics, MEMS, microelectronics, digital signal processing, mechanical packaging, materials engineering (packaging), semi-conductor materials, nanotechnology, information warfare and information security). Recipients must have authorization to work in the United States with the ability to obtain U.S. security clearance.
GEM Fellowships (students apply directly to GEM)
GEM - M.S. Engineering Fellowships – Awards consist of full tuition and fees, health insurance, and a stipend of $7,000/semester for a maximum of three semesters. (This amount is greater than the standard GEM award.) Award retention is subject to satisfactory performance in pursuit of the master’s degree. NOTE: This award applies only to students in a full-time master's program. Visit GEM for application details.
GEM - Ph.D. Engineering Fellowships – Awards consist of full tuition and fees, health insurance, and a stipend of $17,000 for the first year. (This amount is greater than the standard GEM award.) In years 2-5, the student will receive full tuition and fees, health insurance benefits, and a research or teaching assistantship. Award retention is subject to satisfactory performance in pursuit of the doctoral degree. Visit GEM for application details.
Center for Language and Speech Processing Graduate Fellowships
These fellowships provide tuition and a stipend for the first year of graduate study for doctoral candidates in six engineering and science departments. Recipients may apply for a renewal or graduate assistantship after the first year. In addition to the graduate application to the department of choice, applicants must submit a brief statement of research to CLSP. Visit the CLSP for application details.
ARCS Fellowships
Four fellows will be selected from all graduate schools at Johns Hopkins by the Vice Provost for Research. Scholarships will be for a minimum of $15,000. Candidates must meet specific criteria. Advisors submit nominations.
National Physical Sciences Consortium Fellowships
These fellowships are administered through the Provost’s Office. Awards pay full stipends for up to six years. The Whiting School will provide tuition for six years as well.
