Enrique MalladaDr. Enrique Mallada has joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering as an assistant professor.

Mallada earned his PhD in ECE with a minor in Applied Mathematics from Cornell University in Jan 2014. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for the Mathematics of Information in the Computational and Mathematical Sciences department at Caltech from 2013 to 2015. His research interests lie on the study of networked dynamics and distributed systems, as well as their applications in engineering and science. He uses tools from control theory, dynamical systems, and optimization to describe the behavior of these networks and modify them to meet specific engineering requirements. Currently his main application domain is energy and power.
