Intentional Collaboration. Excellence Across Disciplines. Defining the Future of Engineering.

Johns Hopkins Engineering includes more than 25 research centers and institutes, several of which span across university divisions, as well as partnerships with industry, government, and university laboratories around the globe. Only at Johns Hopkins are we able to collaborate with researchers and clinicians at the renowned schools of Medicine, Public Health, Arts and Sciences, Business, Nursing, Education, Music, and the new School of Government Policy in Washington, D.C.

We are leading innovation in areas from bioengineering, robotics, human language technology and cybersecurity to artificial intelligence and data modeling.

When we get faculty candidates coming through and interviewing, this is always one of the things that I say is the best about Hopkins that I haven’t seen as much at other universities: Hopkins really encourages interdepartmental and even inter-school collaboration. And they put their money where their mouth is.
